Death Race

Posted on 0:45 Jun. 14th 2008 by Bjorn No Comments »

The king of B-movies Roger Corman did the original Death Race 2000 in 1975. Aspiring king of B-movies Paul W.S. Anderson directs the remake. The first trailer looks… well… mildly interesting. Just for kicks, I’ve added the trailer for Roger Corman’s film. It looks so much better. :)

Punisher: War zone

Posted on 8:23 Jun. 13th 2008 by Bjorn No Comments »

Ray Stevenson (Who played Titos Pollo in the hit TV series Rome), stars as Frank Castle in the second Punisher movie. The first teaser is out - it has lots of guns and Stevenson looks like a read bad ass.

Invasion: The Battle for Earth trailer

Posted on 23:35 Jun. 11th 2008 by Bjorn No Comments »

Some people just got too much spare time. Someone that calls himself Dr. E. Bola has put together a really cool short film using clips from classic Sci Fi movies like Star Wars, Contact and Armageddon. The trailer is below and all the parts can be found on Youtube.

Jason Statham is back!! I hope it will be better than the second movie. This trailer looks good enough though.

Babylon AD

The new trailer for Vin Diesel’s cyberpunk thriller Babylon AD has been released. It looks really cool - too bad the music already has been used to death in other trailers.

Ghost in the shell 2.0

Posted on 23:17 Jun. 9th 2008 by Bjorn No Comments »

It’s thirteen years since the original version of Mamoru Oshii’s classic cyberpunk saga Ghost in the shell was released. Version 2.0, which will be out in July, is essentially the same movie, but redrawn with todays animation techniques.

Martyrs

The french are getting a reputation at the moment for making the hardest horror in town - they’re breaking all the rules with films like À l’intérieur and Frontière(s). A promo trailer has just been leaked for Martyrs, which promises to be the next big thing from over there. Check it out while it’s still up.

Captain EO with Michael Jackson

Posted on 22:17 Jun. 8th 2008 by Bjorn 1 Comment »

Back in the days, when Michael Jackson still was black and a well respected artist, he starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s short film Captain EO. Also included in this great little 80’s piece is his song “We are here to change the world”. Check it out below.
