Ok so I finally saw 30 days of night last night.
I don't know why I waited so long to see it, but I guess I have to blaim the old “a lack of time. What I liked about this film is that they kept the story pretty much down to earth. Yes, there were vampires and yes they had super powers, but you knew that they would never do something way out there like throwing thunderbolts from their hands or sum up power from some ancient vampire god. I also liked the overall feeling of the film which made me feel pretty unsettled during the last part of it. You got the feeling that this will not end well. The ending was perfect. No crappy happy times Hollywood ending. Loved it!
My score for 30 days of night is 4 out of 5. A masterly crafted film which I will recommend to anyone interested in good horror.
