Heavy Metal in Baghdad

Posted on Jan. 10th 2008 20:02 by Bjorn No Comments »

This is the story about the only Heavy Metal band in war-torn Baghdad. The documentary was shot on location by people from VBS. That’s my definition of guts. Going to one of the most dangerous locations in the world to shoot a movie about a rock band either means you got a death wish or really believe in something.

Brain De Palma’s Redacted

Posted on Oct. 4th 2007 19:21 by Bjorn No Comments »

It’s not much of a teaser (most of it is audio only and some text), but still… it’s a new one from Brian De Palma, the director of Scarface, Carrie, The Untouchables and many more classics. Redacted is about the war in Iraq and the media covering it.  I got a small hunch that this film will evoke a lot of discussions in the US.

Ok, this is NOT a real trailer, but I KNOW when the real thing come’s out, it’s gonna blow my mind, and perhaps yours as well. Until then, just see this… well not the greatest trailer, but a trailer that teases your mind of what’s coming. And yes, it’s coming… I belive in you Niell Blomkamp!!!
