The old doctor is heading back for a fourth season.

“They fight evil so you don’t have to.” ABC Family’s new series The Middleman starts on June 16.

It’s been pretty quiet from Joss Whedon (Buffy the vampire slayer, Angel, Firefly) since his brilliant but not so successful feature film Serenity. Fox’s new series Dollhouse marks his long awaited return to the screen. From IMDB: “The show follows an organization that employs mind-wiped DNA-altered humans known as Dolls who are implanted with false memories and skills for various missions and tasks. When they are not ‘at work’ they are living in a real life Dollhouse which gives the show the name. ”

On Tuesday night the new TV series Fringe will premiere on Fox. Written by the three titans J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci this looks like a series I could really like. Very cool trailer!!

2008 will probably go down in movie/TV history as the year of remakes - and here is another one. The movie The Andromeda Strain was released on 1971 and soon the mini TV-series version will grace our TV screens.

NBC does a “Masters of horror” with its upcoming TV series Fear itself. A total of 13 separate 60-minute films from well known horror directors will be shown starting June 5th.

Ridley Scott and Tony Scott has produced this remake for TV which will be aired in two episodes. “A U.S. satellite crash-lands near a small town in Utah, unleashing a deadly plague that kills virtually everyone except two survivors - an old man and an infant, who may provide clues to immunizing the population.” Check out the trailer

The writers strike kept us waiting for the last season for what seemed like forever. On April 4th the wait is finally over. In case you have forgotten what the first three seasons was all about, here is a 8 minutes recap.

Loosely based on the famous Muslim warrior and statesman with the same name, Saladin tells a fictional story of adventure in 12th Century middle east. The TV series consists of 26 episodes and is planned for release in 2009.
