Alex Proyas has directed two of my all time favourite movies The Crow and Dark City. In Knowing, a teacher opens up a time capsule, buried at his school 50 years earlier. In it he finds a mysterious letter containing only numbers which turns out to be a complete set of dates and death toll for all major disasters for the last 50 years.
When the population gets infected with a virus that turns them permanently blind, the infected are quarantined in an abandoned mental hospital. Directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of god, City of men).
The first amazing trailer for Fabrice Du Welz’s Vinyan is out. A couple searches for their son that was lost in the big tsunami.
From IMDB: “Mum and Dad, and their ‘adopted’ children, Birdie & Elbie, work at the airport. The family live off whatever they scavenge from cargo holds, offices and hotels - including a steady stream of transient workers who populate the airport’s soulless hub.”
Your name here is the unofficial biopic of late sci fi writer Philip K Dick, the auther of many many classics. It pictures the last chaotic days of his life before dying of stroke in March 1982. The movie is directed by newcomer Matthew Wilder and in the role as William J. Frick we find Bill Pullman
Finally a good trailer for indie drama The Wackness has hit the web. It’s the summer of 94 in New York city. Luke Shapiro spends his days selling dope and seeing his shrink.
I found this really nice mashup on Slashfilm today. It’s a trailer for 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off with the well known epic soundtrack from Requiem for a Dream on top. The end result gives the impression of deep drama - completely different from the original film which is a typical 80’s light hearted comedy.
The english trailer has finally arrived for David Fincher’s fantasy drama starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchet.
The first trailer for Spike Lee’s war drama Miracle at St. Anna has been released. Dang, that’s a good trailer.
Jack has recently been released from prison where he served time for the hideous murder he committed as a child.
