This has to be the weirdest trailer this week. Takashi Miike (Ichi the killer, Masters of horror - Imprint) has directed this goofy looking Samurai Western, with Japanese actors speaking English. Knowing Miike’s  previous work I suspect the film will be filled with lots of disturbing violence as well.

This is the 3rd installment in the extreme Thai horror series. Scary stuff indeed!

The undisputed master of slow motion action is back in Asia. Shot in Beijing, China, this is his first Asian film since 1992’s Lat sau san taam aka Hard-Boiled.

Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda plays an autistic girl with a spacial talent for martial arts. Directed by Prachya Pinkaew (Ong-bak), this film features “real” action scenes (no wires, special effects, CGI etc). Edit: Trailer switched to one with english subs.

The hugely successful South Korean animated series Death Note gets a feature film spin off called L Change the world. This time with real life actors, the focus will be on the character L as he travels to USA for some mastermind crime solving.
