Superbowl trailer for “Wanted”

Posted on Feb. 3rd 2008 17:34 by Bjorn 1 Comment »

This is the first American movie from Russian director Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Day watch). Starring (a thin) Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy and based on, guess what… Yes it’s based on a comic book, or graphic novel which is the finer word for the same thing.

Mad foxes

Posted on Jan. 20th 2008 17:54 by Bjorn No Comments »

This has to be one of the crappiest trailers I have run here at Gnolad. :) Mad Foxes (Los Violadores) from 1981 is about a man who seeks revenge on the Nazi biker gang who raped his girlfriend and murdered his family. This looks like a great movie, eh?

Doomsday

Posted on Jan. 16th 2008 19:46 by Bjorn No Comments »

“This is the end of the world”. Oh I like the look of this. The trailer for Doomsday got supreme B-movie action written all over it. To bake this cake, take one part Mad Max 2, one part Escape from New York, throw in a hot babe, Malcolm McDowell and stir it with lots of action. Directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent, )

The Humanoid

Posted on Jan. 3rd 2008 21:42 by Bjorn No Comments »

The Humanoid from 1979, is another one of those late 70’s, early 80’s Star Wars rippoffs that you’ve never heard about. In this unforgettable scene, Princely Hero fights Lord Graal, a rather comic figure that looks like a cheap ass version of Darth Vader crossed with a plastic Samurai.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army trailer

Posted on Dec. 20th 2007 21:23 by Bjorn 1 Comment »

The first sneak peak/teaser trailer has just been released and it looks really good. I loved the first Hellboy movie and Guillermo del Toro has recently become one of my favourite directors. What he did with Pan’s Labyrinth was truly amazing.

Mirageman - the story of a real-life superhero

Posted on Dec. 19th 2007 19:48 by Bjorn No Comments »

Mirageman has been working out for 20 years - perfecting his body and mind as a fighter. One day this all comes in handy as he takes on the role of the masked avenger - Mirageman. This is a martial arts film from Chile (!) starring Marko Zaror as the main character.
